I'm wanting a May 24th wedding - As venues go, I've already contacted the Acropolis and Mesker Park Zoo in Evansville and the Madisonville Country Club. For photography, I've contacted Image House in Madisonville.I'm mainly looking for bakers and photographers, but if you have names for venues and caterers, that would rock too,

Hiya! I'm from Evansville myself and I'm getting married May 30, so I'm in the same boat as you. As far as bakers go, the best I've tasted are Piece of Cake (it's on Main St) or Donut Bank. I'm not sure of your budget, but if you're looking for a cheaper photographer, I know a lady that does AMAZING photography as a hobby for under $400. She'll even just take the pictures and give you the CD, at least she used to.For caterers, I can't really help you much. What is your budget? What are you looking for for food? For venues, there are a TON of places in Evansville. I suggest checking out the Scottish Rite Cathedral (large and beautiful) and the Vanderburgh County 4H fairgrounds. They aren't too terribly expensive. If you want more help, please feel free to contact me privately. I love helping others with wedding plans. Also, for other venues and such, check out http://www.tristatebride.com. They have a TON of info all in one place.
