Wow, you poor, poor thing. I would definitely have a 5 year ceremony, NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS!!!!!! You had the wedding he wanted, you have the 5 year anniversary you want. If he doesn't understand what COMPROMISE is, sorry to say, but what an idiot! Providing that he's not an idiot, I can understand where he's coming from. He didn't want to go in debt like most people do for one day of their lives. He wants a good, solid marriage. I wanted a huge wedding, and if I did, we would have been in debt and that's not a good start to a marriage. We had something smaller, but I still enjoyed it. You have that ceremony, you deserve it!
