I really wanted a winter wedding but that didn't work out as planned. I love reds and rasberry/cranberry colors and would love it for my wedding as I really want a romantic elegant feel but I am scared that Reds would not look good for a march wedding. I need help. I live in Houston and plan on an afternoon church ceremony and a dinner and dancing reception at a beautiful reception hall.

The cranberry reds look great for evening and paired w/ creams and jade greens look lovely. Good colors for the late winter/early spring look.

I think red would still be appropriate, although you may get some funny looks from the older folks at your wedding who still think spring + pastel. After all, red is a hot color for February, what with Valentine's day. To calm those old folks down, you could always do red with pink as an accent. But it is up to you.

You can easily do red, girl! I like the thought of cranberry red and maybe silver...it's end of Feb/March so red would be devine. I also like the accent of jade greens =) Green is very Marchish...red is very Februaryish...take your pick. It's YOUR wedding, dear. Have leopard print everywhere if you want!

Reds would be fine. Most people don't base their color schemes on seasons anymore. The colors should be what you and your fiance like.

Oh Simply Me, I feel your pain. A Houston wedding in March is like a springtime, early summer wedding anyplace else. Yes, reds and raspberries are more fall colors. But, fortunately I have a splendid suggestion for incorporating those springtime colors in your color scheme. How about rose and mauve, simply beautiful colors, and convey the meaning of spring, beautiful and fabulous, my dear.

I think that red would work if you go with the right shade. A nice raspberry color can be played off to be spring-like, especially when paired with a lighter color for spring such as a light pink or an off white. And maybe if you go with tea length or knee length dresses it will be a bit more spring-y.

Since when does spring mean that the color red no longer exists? Remember, Valentine's Day? Try roses and calla lilies in several deep shades of red. White or ivory chiffon with sashes of deep red silk. Rose garlands on the bridesmaids in a nod to spring. Example;http://www.preownedweddingdress.com/dress_details.asp?id=838You could also try a dress with red as an accent color;http://budgetdreams.files.wordpress.com/2006/05/CR-1-3.jpgHere's a cute article on red weddings;http://www.myexpression.com/ArticlesWedding/RedWeddingInvitations.cfmGood luck, and congratulations!
