Ok I know it seems strange but I really want to help decorate the reception area for my wedding! We have about 3 hours from the time we can start decorating till the wedding begins. Do you think I'll be able to help, even a little with the decorations??They are in the same location...btw.

Don't even try. Seriously. In most weddings, you won't have anywhere enough time.Eventually, when all is said and done, you have to trust your friends.

i dont think you'll have time to help! lol...let them take care of it, its probably stressfull and all but you'll be so busy gettting ready and checking on a dozen other little things that you'll kick yourself later for even thinking about wanting to help. Congrats by the way!

Wedding day is the BRIDE'S DAY. The groom just gets to be there, same with the rest of the family. If you want to decorate, you better believe you can. Nuts to anyone else who says otherwise, since it's YOUR day.You just have to be okay with making a compromise somewhere else for it.

I suppose you could, but I don't recommend it. You will have your hair all done, and your makeup just right... and you want to run around getting yucky before you put on your dress? You can supervise, for sure, but I wouldn't try to help.Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

all our kids and their spouses helped decorate their reception halls so i don't think this is strange at all! of course they had the evening before to do it, whereas your time is going to be a tad tight! so, arrange your beauty appointments accordingly, perhaps prior to the decorating so that they are out of the way. then take your gown, shoes, etc. with you to the venue and help with some of the decorating before you excuse yourself to get dressed! happy wedding!

I helped decorate the hall - I just allowed myself plenty of prep time. I think we were decorating the hall about 4 to 3 hours before the ceremony, then we went over to get ready for the ceremony about 2 hours before. It seemed like plenty of time for me.

When will you do your hair and makeup? Do you want to be sweaty when you put your gown on? These are the questions you need to ask yourself.
