| I just asked a similar question not too long ago, and the best answer I could get was to get a 5mega pixal cameral or higher with a night vision lens. Other than that I really am not sure. |

| The shutter will be open for a long time, so anything that moves will be blurry. Also, if you are holding the camera you will move it so everything is blurry. Put the camera on a tripod or at least set it on something sturdy such as a fence or the top of your car while you take the photo.Cameras are really dumb and don't realize when it is dark. The light meter thinks you want the scene to be a typical scene with white and black balanced instead of being mostly dark as you would expect. Set it for 1 f/stop underexposure if your camera has that feature. Otherwise, adjust the exposure in an image editing program such as Photoshop afterwards. |

| You will have to get a camera that has aperture priority settings so you can assure the highest shutter speeds under the lighting conditions. In addition, you will want to find one that has a high ISO setting available (1600 or better).Blur is from too low a shutter speed and over exposure is from the camera misreading the lighting. |

| On top of a few of the previous answers, if your camera doesnt have a pre-flash, it wont properly focus in the dark.Point and shoots need light for the auto focus feature to work. Best bet, would be to add a couple of floods to light the area your shooting, if you really need the shot. |

| try changing your iso settings...if it's blurry try a higher number |
