I would like to develop my skills in portrait/fashion photography and need a good course that is either intestive weekend or one night a week after work. Would like to find out if this can be a career change for me so need something that is not aimed at 'hobbies' rather a professional course. Tips are welcome! thanks

The University of the Arts London runs loads of evening and weekend courses which can all be found here:http://www.arts.ac.uk/cps/rde/xchg/cps_linst/root.xsl/search_course_hub.htm?token=&search.keyword=&search.college=CRS_COLLEGE+%3CMATCHES%3E+*&search.level=CRS_LEVEL+%3CMATCHES%3E+Short+Course&search.mode=CRS_MODE+%3CMATCHES%3E+*&Search=GoIn particular, Central Saint Martins offers a good cross-section of disciplines:http://courses.csm.arts.ac.uk/courses_AtoZ.asp?type=7&sessionid=1Good Luck!

the LCC, (london college of communications) in elephant & castle does a number of professional courses... these are intensive, expensive, and designed to train you to be a professional photographer... if you want to change your career, i can't think of anything better... its also well accredited, has lots of facilities, but the biggest selling factor with the course has to be its hands on approach... it really is hard work... but this comes at quite a price, expect it to be something like £6k for 10 weeks... they also run shorter courses too, but to be honest, most of the evening or weekend courses are aimed at amateurs... if you want it to be a career change you'll need to book time off work and save..

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
