| i was running late and was late to the ceremony and i then when i thought things couldnt get worse. i had no way to the reception.....i could catch a cab and walked around for one and half hours trying to find an empty taxi or the ballroom. i thought it would be more rude to come in late after all the food had been served and it was 1 1/2 hours after the cermony so i just wen home. i feel INCREDIBLY AWFUL. i know its rude so rude i just had no way of transportation and i feel rude coming late to the ceremony....is this really bad? wat can i do? |

| Call them an explain your situation. You had NO way of getting there and you really feel horrible about it. Chances are, they will understand. Maybe send a card and the gift you were planning on giving. Just to make it seem like you had all the intentions of coming, but just ran into some bad luck along the way. |

| you could have gone late...it wouldn't have mattered...but since you didn't make it the best thing to do is to call them and apologize... |

| At least you tried your best! Explain to them what happened either by calling, emailing, or writing them, I'm sure they'll understand. Send a wedding card in the mail for good measure. |

| Your first act of rudeness was to not arrange for a ride before-hand and or reserve a cab to pick up at your home and be on time for the ceremony. And if you can't make the ceremony at least be on time for the reception and they probably would have never noticed you were not at the church. I believe you never intended to attend, probably because you didn't have a gift or thought this way you wouldn't have to give a gift. You accepted the invitation, they arranged for a dinner for you. Now get a card and send your deepest apology and send a very generous gift. |

| I'd give them a call to apologize. Make sure you send them a nice gift. After all, they did pay for a meal for you.Why hadn't you arranged for transportation? |
