For my backdrop we got a few white sheets and used them. It looked very elegant and got some lights. It was very cheap and very nice!

Candles are cheap and have a great effect. You can buy yards of fabric and drape them, it is not expensive depending on what kind of fabric you choose.

Candels, candy that you can sprinkle on tables.Make your own backdrop. Depending on price either:- Take a pole for a shower curtain and hang fabric and ribbons (whatever) from it. (Only if there is somewhere to hang it)- Make a free standing backdrop out of PVC pipe and again hang a curtain and whatever from it. http://www.diyphotography.net/homestudio/blz/home-made-cheap-diy-backdrop-stand

Go do Ikea, they have these great shiny sheer material curtains. they usually have them in a few different shades, and they are really long. You could use them as the overlay on the tables, to tie around chairs or to hang as a back-drop. they look really good over a thicker solid material, so you could hang a cheap white sheet, and then one of these over it. I have found them to be cheaper than those at B,B&B or Linens&Things and they have finished edges. Plus, then you can walk through the market place and find great candles, lanterns and glass pieces for decoration.

I found some pretty nice looking items for my fall themed wedding at www.orientaltrading.com for a pretty reasonable price.

My backdrop was a large white lattice board. It looked beautiful with greenery and flowers weaved in and out around the edges. It also looked great in the pictures.

I made two walls out of cheap particle board. Then I used rectangular pieces of 2x4's to make little shelves randomly on the particle board wall. Painted the whole thing in one of our wedding colors (eggplant) then set tealights on the shelves. We lit them as part of our candlelight ceremony. It looked amazing in the pics and so romantic, a nice twist on the usual curtain/christmas light combo. For another bride we created an arch using some bamboo poles. At the back we strung flower heads on some fishing line to create a curtain and some pomander balls attached to the two front poles.A basic arch can be picked up at many craft stores for less than $50. After that it's whatever your heart desires to embelish it. I've seen everything from beer cans at a redneck wedding to covering the entire thing with flowers.
