I really wanted to try and take some pictures of the solar eclipse tonight, but as I feared I can't get past the fog issue I've been experiencing with my lens. I don't understand what I am or am not doing. I've heard you should keep the lens warm. I've heard you should let the equipment aclimate to the temperatures. I don't know what to do. I am using a tripod, no flash, and a trigger. And the photos come out looking like I shot to fogged glass. Useless. Its too late for tonight, but please help me understand what I am doing wrong for these night shots if you can. I am very frustrated with this right now.

As long as its dry out, leave your camera on its tripod outside so that the change in temps doesnt make your camera sweat. Its like letting warm air hit a cold soda, it will make condensation. But cold soda doesnt sweat inside of a cooler.
