My Hubby and I are going to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this summer. I already know what I am getting but I would like to surprise him with something extra special. He doesn't need jewlery, or clothes or golf equipment. I want something personal as this is a big year for us. Please help me, I seriously want this to be special. HELP!!!!! Serious answers only!!!

Well I know I am not a guy but, my husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary last year. I contacted our local newspaper and they did a love story on us. Our picture and story were on the front page of the local section. He didn't know anything about it. I had him pick up the newspaper that morning. My husband was very surprised. Of course this wasn't all I did for him but he told me that was the best gift I had given him. I hope this helps.Oh, and Happy Anniversary and Congratulations 20 years is a long time!!!!

Don't buy him anything, do something with him. I don't remember things I got for anniversaries or birthdays, but I do remember who I was with and what I was doing. The best birthday I ever had was the first after my divorce with my new girlfriend. I don't know what I got for presents, but I'll never forget that day(and night). Rent a lake house, or a beach house, do something just the two of you. Memories last, material objects just break or get lost.

I agree with the trip/getaway idea Maybe you could renew your vows and then have a weekend at a resort or secluded cabin. Make some memories to last another 20 years!Happy anniversary! Smile

He sounds like he doesn't need anything. Does he like to fish? MY husband went on a one day fishing boat tour a few years ago. It was really very reasonable everything was included food drinks the fishing bait even the fishing equipment. It was around $100 a person. My husband still talks about how much fun they had.
