| Please read entire question before answerI bought a windows vista computer years ago (ok months). So far, I have had absolutely no problems. Programs that used to crash my old computer all the time are actually working in windows vista. I figured out that maybe my computer was special, so I went to a computer store and tried out the computers there. After one hour, I couldn't make any of the computers there slow or crash. For example, in a laptop, I opened like 20 programs (including games), did the flip 3D thing with aero on, and couldn't get the ram usage over 50%, and the cpu usage never got about 60%.I don't get it, I never got any compatibility problems, my old printer, programs, and flash drive worked fine.bloated? Like I said, I can never make any windows vista computer slow.And the windows folder only takes up 8 GB.I really enjoy the new features they put into this thing, and how much better it looks.But what is wrong with vista, and why do people say that |

Because most people are scared of change, also, if one person had a problem with it they will tell everyone they know and that's how the bad reviews spread. But seriously nothing is wrong with it  |

| They dont like it because it is so protective, and every single thing you do you like have to go through this whole thing like "so and so wants to run, allow?" then you say okay and then its like are you sure? and so on. It is good over all it can just piss some people off like YES JUST DO IT ALREADY type of thing. I have vista too and its really annonying.katieeee! |

| The thing is is that your average person likes vista,and don't see anything wrong with it or have problems..Its the computer enthusiasts (hackers,programmers.ect.) that don't like vista because there is allot of stuff going on in the background on vista that most people don't know about..Vista sends alot of info back to microsoft,and those programs do hog resources..Not to mention people doing illegal stuff with their computers dont like that much.. |

| I have vista at first it won t work i had to keep scanning evey day. Also it about 12 per cent slower then XP.But mine works fine now. |

| um, the fact that 50% of drivers aren't allowed.the huge load that it puts on the hardware which is important to gamers.the fact that there is little change from xp to vista (aside from it looking pretty) even though it can cost up to $700 AUDhow it double checks everything. if you try to copy some files it will ask you 4 times "are you sure?" in some form or anotherjealousy that dx10 is only on vista.how plenty of old programs refuse to workThe hate of bill gateshow vista requires a huge amount of ram for nothinghow there's no 5.1 sound (may be fixed, but open AL can fix it)the frames lost in games, up to 25fps lostand i wouldn't expect you to be able to make vista slow just by opening lots of windows' own programs in the shop. let me guess, you ran solitaire 20 times? oh jeez, like that would slow any computer down.everything you said is normal.maybe you don't do anything more than surf the net and word process so maybe you have no idea of what vista is(n't) capable ofbut everyone will go to vista soon so it doesn't matter, even i will eventually |

| Have been running Vista here for almost a year now and love it. A lot of folks were comfortable with XP and, like they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Bottom line, it's just like anything else, you'll find some who like it, some who don't. Hope this helps. |
