Make sure you get to go to the Luxor and Caesars Palace. Also make a couple of hours for the Venetian. New York New York is a good place for your dinner. THe Excalibur is somewhat attatched to the Luxor so make sure you get a peak in there too. You have to see at least one of the free pirate ship shows in front of Treasure Island--they are really cool and try to catch a vegas show if its in your budget. Last time I saw Blue Man Group which was great and at the Stratosphere the Erotic Vampire show which they may still have and wasnt expensive. I thought that one was going to be kinda cheesy but it was a really great show with pyrotechnics and acrobatics. Not a big budget show but surprisingly worth my time. Do yourself a favor too and rent a car--they are cheap and convenient and will save you all kinds of time. Enjoy your trip...

one suggestion- take a cab instead of a minibus. they cost just about the same, cab is much much better!your itinerary looks great, just don't worry about being too scheduled. you're in vegas, relax and have fun!i've stayed at nyny twice before and it was great both times.i've found this website very helpful vegas4visitors.comhave a great trip!edit: i disagree i would never rent a car in vegas, it is way too much of a hassle to drive around there. if you plan on staying on the stip i suggest people movers, cabs, monorail, and shuttles. driving on las vegas blvd is a mess!

You have a pretty full itinerary, so don't be surprised if you don't get to everything on your list. I also say rent a car. I didn't when I went since I planned to use the Deuce (double decker bus $5/24 hrs unlimited travel). Big mistake. Getting around on the Deuce took FOREVER. The casinos on the strip aren't all that close to each other. In one day we went to Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, and The Luxor and walked over 8 miles! (I wore a pedometer) I wouldn't have minded the walking, but it took up far too much time. I hope to go back in September, and I'm getting a car this time! Also, try not to miss going downtown! It is the Old Vegas you see on TV. The parts you see in the U2 video and on some of the Chris Angel shows. Its like one big block party and a lot of fun! Good luck on your trip!

Just going to help with a few issues:"Friday April 18th 20081:00 pm- Arrive at Airport2:20 pm- Depart 5:20 pm- Arrive in Las Vegas(LAS) 5:30 pm- 7:00pm- Get Luggage, Take Minibus to hotel (New york new york)Check in, Quick Dinner"Wander around and try to get in to look at the Ferrari's at the Wynn.GOTO the Wynn buffet!!! OMG! Best in town! WELL WORTH the $$."8:00 pm- Spamalot- The Wynn"I heard it's not as funny as the movie and has a lot of sexual misorientation jokes."Evening- Gamble/bar if not too tired!"You are in Vegas! Drink a red bull or something - Goto Tryst or Blush the nightclub/lounge in Wynn. They open at 10pm... And the great thing is the cab back to New York New York is $10 - don't forget to tip"Saturday April 19th 2008Walk around, see the sightsLunch- Burger Bar- 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. (Mandalay Bay)"Tpppt! A waste of time! Plus, walking the strip is much more fun at night. And you won't be getting up early anyways IF you took my suggestion and went to Tryst the night before. Try this instead:10 am - America for some food and the Hair of the Dog.There are some REAL COOL tours you can do of stuff not associated ONE IOTA with gambing in my fair city -> http://www.alllasvegastours.com/These peeps will pick you up at New York New York and drop you off. If you gots the money, the helicopter tools are off the chart! If you are budgeting, these are my suggestions: Horseback riding, LakeMead Day/Dinner cruise. You'll be back around 5 enough time to get ready for the Mon Ami Gabi dinner at 7pm...Gamble at the Paris, then walk the strip at sunset. (bring comfy walking shoes, the strip is LONG!) this will be a full night of fun and adventure -> plenty of things open up AFTER DARK! Like MargaritaVille, Hawaiian Center, and other nightclubs and bars and dance places that just open and start playing and everyone is having a grand ol' time. Be careful of the peeps on the sidewalk handing out cards -> these be nude photos of female adult entertainers. I usually protest saying "What? No nudey pics of MEN??? No fairs!!!"Be careful drinking whilst walking the strip. There are bicycle cops, fast cars and the occasional pick-pocket/mugger/purse snatcher. Best to enjoy your buzz w/o getting blown out of your mind.Sunday morning....Sunday April 20th 2008- Sunday Brunch or Lay outYeah.... Second verse same as the first verse. This time lounge at the pool for your morning rehab. - Wedding (@ 3?) Who's getting married? Is it by Elvis? I know a few of them. Say hi for me.- Dinner at America, New York New York- Evening- Gamble/bar if not too tired! Okok now gamble... But don't lose your winnings, best to cash out whilst you are ahead and pocket at least half everytime.OOOO! Coyote Ugly!!! Wear nice jeans/sexy skirt and a curvey blouse. Women are allowed to get up on the raised dance floor and grind alongside the coyote's for free shots. Way fun!Monday April 21st 2008Where's my dog????9:30 am- Depart Las Vegas(LAS)When waiting for your flight, enjoy a little last minute gambling. Tip the change lady if you win - Mom works there and she says everyone is so mean and cheap and demanding (except the Hawaiian's.)6:45 pm- ArriveRemember, what happens in Vegas, STAYS in Vegas!

Okay, if you're a tourist. I'm a lifelong native and avoid the strip like the plague.BTW: What happens in Las Vegas get captured on the video cameras that are all over the casinos and resorts.

You have not given yourself any time just to enjoy the pool and relax. Don't try and over schedule yourself. Otherwise you should have loads of fun

Re: Sounds good, personally i'd recommend watching a Cirque Du Solei show..around the same cost..and broadway is better in NYC..Cirque is only in Vegas (at least their non-travelling shows). I recommend O, Mystere or Ka.Saturday April 19th 2008Walk around, see the sightsLunch- Burger Bar- 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. (Mandalay Bay)5:45 pm- Dinner at Mon Ami Gabi (Paris Hotel)Evening- Gamble/bar if not too tired! Re: When you walk around make sure to check out Ceasars Palace (and shop the forum shops), The Wynn and Mirage they have the best themes IMO..oh and The Venetian..how else could I forget....after dinner I recommend checking out Paris, then cross the street and check out Bellagio...hell maybe even watch "O". Also I hear GREAT things about burger bar at Mandalay.Sunday April 20th 2008- Sunday Brunch or Lay out- Wedding (@ 3?) - Dinner at America, New York New York- Evening- Gamble/bar if not too tired! - Sunday Brunch I recommend Spice Market Buffet in Planet Hollywood. It's one of the top5 buffets on the strip. It's not quite as good as Bellagio (supposedly the #1 buffet) in regards to quality and variety but it's damn close and much cheaper. So that's my recommendation. I'd also pass on dinner for America at NYNY...I ate there once...it's like an upscale Dennys..nothing wrong with the place..it's just not something I'd make a point to eat at. MGM is right across the street, much better places to eat there.Monday April 21st 20089:30 am- Depart Las Vegas(LAS) 6:45 pm- ArriveRe: Wake up early get some last minute gambling in :)Have Fun!!!p.s. If I were you. I'd try not to plan out TOO much of your day...basically leave morning -> 5/7pm completely open ..and then only really plan out your dinner and evening show/club. it'll be much more fun that way ~G |
