I saw a really cute one the other day with the groom at the very top of the cake reaching down to the bride trying to help her up and the bride was on the 2nd tier not the top reaching for his fingertips!....Smile i thought it had a lot of meaning! made me sad that i already bought a cake topper!!! it is something so simple but means a lot ... very cute

One really unique idea i saw was a bride and groom strawberry topper. One strawberry dipped in white chocolate and had white piping on it, while the other was dressed up in black and white fondant, resembling a tux. I thought that it was really cool, and inexpensive as well! One of my friends had bendable stick figures on top of her wedding cake.. it was really quirky and cute!

when my parents were married they had a huge disagreement over the reception. she wanted pretty and dainty, he didn't. we have a photo of the hall they held their reception in. mum had decorated it all with tulle and ribbons and flowers and apparently all pretty and fairytale like. dad and his buddies got a little tight the day of the wedding and snuck into the hall and added a few extra decorations. imagine mum's dismay when they got to the hall after the wedding and found fishing poles stuck here and there, lures hanging from the tulle, buckets of beer/ice stashed in every corner and the beautiful wedding cake topper with doves and a heart had been replaced with the license plate off their car! yep, a1941 license plate stuck right in the middle of her beautiful wedding cake~she was less than impressed and they almost divorced before they had their first dance. now its a 'funny' story he tells every anniversary and she still hates! lolmeanwhile more current - recently at a wedding where the topper was candy apples, one decked out in candy made to look like a tux and a top hat and the other in a white gown and veil. very original.

i did see one at a wedding i went to that had a drunk groom passed out on the wifes leg and her with her hand on her hips...it was funny cuz the ppl getting married were your typical south Louisiana coonasses.. but i wouldnt want that to represent my marriage.. even tho thats prolly how theres ended up.

this is the one i hadhttp://www.eclecticlightstudios.com/photos/StephAdamWedding/content/IMG_9082_large.htmlhttp://www.eclecticlightstudios.com/photos/StephAdamWedding/content/IMG_9083_large.htmlmy husband really wanted a bride and groom, i'm not so much a fan of them but we found this one on line and we both thought it was really cute and had a romantic feel to it.i've also seen one where the bride and groom are sitting on the edge of the cake with their bare feet hanging over the edge. that one is really cute to, we almost got that one.i hate the ones where the bride is dragging the groom across the top of the cake, i just find them totally against how a wedding should be. i know it's supposed to be funny but why would you want something that makes it look like the groom didn't want to be there.

A girl I know is having a "camo" wedding (why, I have no idea) and she told me about their cake topper. It is a bride pulling a groom away from his deerstand. Wow, talk about unique.
