| I want to get into wedding photography on weekends. I want to know what cameras on the market at the moment are the best/most cost effective for this purpose?And what you should look for if you want to buy a camera (digital). |

| Avoid Casio cameras! I would get something reliable like theOlympus EVolt E-510Great camera, 10 megapixels, and a relatively good price for the quality. |

| I only know some about cameras and in my opinion the canon rebel is a very good camera. its digital and it is very clear and can take pictures of things moving clearly too such as a car. |

| Digital SLR are the "best" because you can adjust the focal point. You have more control over exposures, apatures. etc.Since you want to go in to photography, professionally photographers use those umbrellas to reflect light on to their subjects. You see light directly on to a person's face is very harsh, that's why the light is face the opposite way towards an umbrella that bounces the light back creating a smoother appearance.You need a digital SLR camera, with high mega pixels for great quality. Digital SLR with high mega pixels are very expensive, which is why some people prefer film cameras still. |

| ANYTHiNG CANON! They are a little more expensive but they work sooo good! If you are going wedding photography you would want a large one but for sure look at Canons! |

| I've worked in this industry for 10 years and without a doubt say NIKON!! DSLR of course! D80,D200, or if you got a great tax refund this year get a D300. Without getting too technical... the sensor in the the Nikon is a CCD (charged coupled device)and Canon manufactured a CMOS sensor which in my eyes just isn't sharp enough. But if you're lookin to do this as a hobby the D40x would be a good choice also. Any photographers I know from work including myslef all have Nikons. And yes what the other person was saying about the umbrellas is also a good idea for studio lighting and softer, less shadows. Go to your local photography shop and ask them for pricing and their input on this. |

| Try to get Canon G9, its good for you, check the price at the time from the electonic stores.I have own 3 canon cameraras, 1 of them is Canon G9. I really love it.If you get one later you wont feel boring with it. |

| First I mean no offense but if you don't even know what cameras to use you should not be doing someones wedding. This is a once in a lifetime event and you can't get it wrong.That said you should look at at least a very good DSLR.Canon 40D or Nikon D200 about $1,600.You also should consider using a medium format camera. You should be able to get a good used Hasselblad or Mamiya for $1,000-$1,500 |
