I'm thinking either a Tan Linnen sport coat and contrasting linen pants, or a J Press Seersucker suitQuestions I need answered:1. I'm assuming "Outdoor cocktail attire" means Jacket and Tie?2. What color pants with a tan linnen blazer? Can I go with a bright color like salmon, or shoudl I stick to navy? Or is some other color ok.3. Is seersucker and/or linnen ok for April in that part of the country?4. If I wore white pants, what could I wear for a shirt? Something light colored.5. Could I just wear a standard grey suit with light shirt and tie or would I really stick out?

Okay...outdoor cocktail attire does not require a tie. Sport coat and slacks with an open neck dress shirt is fine. I would not go with white pants...preferably dark with either tan jacket or print jacket. If you can pull off a light colored shirt...fine...as long as it goes with the jacket you choose. Stay away from the standard grey suit....too stiff. Keep your attire smart casual.

Tie yesthe bride is the show, don't competekeep it simple; the Tan linen jacket with, creme shirt; muted brown pant with subtle tie would be perfect. You could go brown shirt with creme tie, and lighter pant. but stay neutralCocktail attire means the ladies dress up...so a tie is complementary it says you are dressing to their level.
