I wouldn't give it a second thought. Most of your pictures will be with just the wedding party. The few showing the officiant will just be with you and your hubby. I'm pretty sure yellow will look fine with your white/ivory dress and his suit.

No, you are not being silly! This is not about your officiant - it's about you!! If she were to stand up there in bright freakin yellow who's going to stand out???...HER! To me it sounds like someone might be jealous or have some underlying issue. Tell her that the dress she picked out will not work for your scheme (like you really need to) and requested that she take it back. If she refuses replace her as she's showing that she isn't a true friend. This makes me wonder if she's trying to pull this for your special day what other turmoil will she attempt to bring to your marriage?! Just my 2 cents...

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I think you're overreacting. Nobody is going to notice or care! Plus, is she going to be in your photos? Not likely. I think yellow goes with pink and lavender anyway, but seriously... who cares. I've never heard of a bride telling the officiant what to wear.

You are being as silly as they come. You don't get to pick how everyone at the wedding dresses. You are not queen for a day.

I'm aghast at how many people think it's OK for you to dictate what the officiant wears. Are you telling all the guests how to dress, too? Why on Earth do you care what she's wearing? What is she going to clash with? Do you plan on having her in all the wedding party photos? Of course not. What, then, is she going to clash with? Is anyone who is going to be in any photo required to wear a shade of pink or purple? You're way out of line, here, in my opinion.

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
