| How far would you go to get that "perfect" shot?I sat completely still for almost three hours to get this following outdoor shot...http://randombucknellian.deviantart.com/art/Sunny-With-a-Chance-of-Frogs-64092539Do you think it was worth it? How long is too long to wait?I'm just kind of wondering if I should pursue my interest in photography and start selling my work or not. If I have a lot of nice shots of the quality of this one, would I have a prospective clientele? Thanks! |

| most photographers wait very long, if you dont have the patience to wait long and do all kinds of different shots then dont get into photography. |

| The best wildlife photographer I ever saw had the same kind of patience and determination as you - but a little more photographic knowledge / technique and an in depth knowledge of animal behaviour (enabling him to pretty much always be in the right place at the right time).Ideally I think you need to focus on the frogs eyes so get down to it's level - perhaps using a tripod. A zoom macro lens could also be useful and you need to get the sun behind you to light up those eyes.Keep it up - you get 10 points from me for dedication and determination, and those will get you a long, long way!Try this website for some free technical tips:image-nut. com |

| Photography is sometimes about When you take a picture rather than What the subject is. In Landscape you often have to wait for the Light to be perfect.I've waited months to get the lighting right on certain buildings who's North facing side is only lit during High Summer. (I didn't sit there waiting for it mind you!!) I have waited for hours to get Sunsets and Dawn images though, loads of times. The wife usually takes a book with Her on these jaunts!Chris |

| No, three hours is not too long to wait. No mountain is too tall to climb, and no ocean is too deep if it means getting a great photo. The thing about photography is that while you may have the patience and the equipment, you need to have the skills to back them up. Learn all you can, buy books and read magazines, check out other artists' work and learn all you can from them. It's great to love photography, but it takes dedication and a lot of work to make your way to professional level. |

| I've waited long periods of time, I've went into private property, I've gotten in weird positions. It's always worth it.There is no "too long." You have a long ways to go before you start selling work. |
