| What is a good outdoor digital camera that takes nice photography pictures and good pics of people too?My moms could make it to to the bottom of the ocean but the pics look like crap, My dad's cam makes any pic look amazing but he practically makes me use gloves to use it!i want to be able to drop it and not freak out. I mean i am going backpacking so it needs to survive! |

| If you're only using it outside, any name-brand camera over about $150 will do a good job.I'd go for a Canon because they are the leader in almost every aspect of technology.Many cameras offer Face Detection which might help you out.So pick your price point and buy with confidence.HTHV2K1 |

| When you say outdoor do you mean all-weather? underwater? because all digital cameras work fine outdoors the problems usually arise indoors where flash is needed or light levels fall below their optimum operating conditions.Choose some cameras that you like then compare them and decide for yourself, go to a camera store take a few test shots and physically handle a few different models you will be surprised on what they can do.Good Luck |

| i suggest canon sd950 or canon a720both of them are great outdoor digital cameras |
