| My boyfriend and I just got engaged, and now we've got to plan the wedding. We picked a date, season (spring) colors, flowers..... but I know theres a LOT MORE that needs to be done.... What else, I'm drawing a blank... please help!! thanksWedding date is: June 9th, 2009 -OR- Aug 15th, 2009Budget is: $6,000.00Colors: Fall Colors; Red, Orange, Yellow, Wine, etc.I was a florist for 3 years, and I have access into the Los Angeles Flower Market (where I can buy flowers for 80% LOWER in cost)... I have friends who are very talented who can help me with designing ALL the flowers. We also have a friend who's a Wonderful photographer, and he's offered (as his gift) to take our engagement, wedding, reception photos.And... the Pastor who baptized me when I was 11 years old, has offered to marry us.Since we've been blassed to have all this already... I just it's the more detailed things that I need help with. Thanks so much everyone!! |

You Need to book a location! Think about where you want to have the ceremony & reception. Register. at stores for the items you will be wanting to start your married life with. Examples: (1 or more of the following) A Department Store, Other Suggestions are an all purpose store like Walmart, or Target, & some people choose specialty goods store like Linens & Things, Bed, Bath & Beyond- Home Depot or Loews even.Pick out Wedding invitations & some people opt to send out a save the date card or magnet so, that friends/family can plan/remember when your wedding will be. Food and Drinks plus the cake have to be decided.Purchasing the wedding rings :)Deciding where to take your pictures P.S. Thought this might give you good ideas! Apply it to your situation not only for a shower. CONGRATS & CONTINUE TO BE BLESSED http://www.bridal-shower-ideas-for-you.com/bridal-shower-location.html |

| You can sign up (for free) on www.weddingchannel.com which will give you a fairly good 'to do' list. Main thing it seems like you need at the moment is reception and ceremony sites! (I booked a year in advance and still had to change the date!) |

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
