he says that he feels that he is spending too much time w/the bus getting it started & he wants to enjoy the wedding , says that he is sure he wants to get married to me just feels that the timing is bad cause he is so busy w/biz , he does work from 8 or 9 in the am til 2 or 3 at night its a commercial cleaning company so during the day he does sales & deals with the admin & then at night is when he has to oversee the workers at the different business making sure there getting the cleaning done, so I know that he is overwhelmed, but I sold my house & it sold in the 1st month & I moved in with him , I hv a 4 yr old girl & he has a boy , right now I feel I am ok to be a nanny but not marry, should I pack my bags if he wants to postpone?

Do you want a marriage or a wedding? You can postpone the wedding/reception and still get married, which takes about 15 minutes.

first you should find out how much he wants to postpone! Is it like a couple of months or what? I think if he says just a couple of months then you should just stay put! Why would you want to up and move when your daughter is just getting settled? Good Luck!

I think that his reason for postponing is legitimate. It sounds like he really wants to enjoy his wedding, and there is nothing wrong with that. What I would do is just make him set another date for the future. If he isn't willing to do that, then I would start to question what is going on...but, it really just sounds like he wants to have a nice wedding.

Did you already send out all the invitations and make all your deposits? I think if you are going to loose a bunch of money, then you may want to think about that. Besides, I don't know about any of the other brides, but my fiance barely does anything is regards to this wedding anyway. All he has to do is pick a suit and show up with his friends. All I am saying, is maybe the best way to approach it is to tell him that you can't afford to postpone it and that all he has to do is be there. As long as you want this marriage with this man (and not just to be married) then I don't think you should walk away so quickly. Maybe he really is too busy....you have to talk to him!

Your wedding is supposed to be in 6 weeks, I think it's a little late to cancel everything now. I could see postponing if you did it like 6 months ago or before the invitations were supposed to already be in the mail, but in my opinion now is too close to postpone everyone should know about it and everything should be paid for.
