| well About 2 months ago i went to david's bridal and even though i have heard many many bad stories about bad customer service in david's bridal. My bridal consultant was amazing the dress i actually picked was a dress that even though i had seen online i didn't think would work for me. She told me i was wrong and when i tried the dress on i knew that was my dress. She has been so nice and i would like to invite her to my wedding is this ok or will i look like an idiot asking her to go to my wedding? thanks in advance.that's a great idea about either getting her a thank you card or writing a letter to their manager. |

| Well I guess that would be up to you. She might not come though because she wont know anybody but you (and the people that went with you) and that might be awkward for her |

| It is a bit unusual since you aren't friends outside of the dress-buying situation.My suggestion would be to get her a little special "thank you" (maybe $25 gift card for bath & body works or something). |

| I wouldn't invite her to the wedding. Instead, I would send her a nice thank you note and also write a note to the manager of the store telling her how helpful your consultant was and how if it weren't for her, you wouldn't have the dress of your dreams. That will go a long way and help the sales consultant a lot more than inviting her to the wedding. |

| No, you don't suppose to invite her. She only gave you excellent custormer service. That is her job. I am happy you had a good impression on the service. What you can do is send a note to the Manager of the Store and let her know about her employee. That's the right thing to do.But to invite her.........no. |

| Honestly, it's a bit weird. I used to work in retail, and if any of my customers had invited me to their weddings, I would've thought it was strange and possibly been a bit creeped out.She sells wedding dresses for a living, so while it's nice that she's good at her job, it's really not surprising or unusual. If every bride she sold a dress to invited her to the wedding, she'd go broke buying wedding gifts. Plus, you'd have to invite her husband/significant other/date or whoever, because otherwise, she would literally know NO ONE at the wedding. |

| I invited my dress designer to my wedding...and he came! It was fabulous! But we did have a chance to bond while my gown was being made.It's really up to you. Sure, it may be somewhat unconventional, but really, who cares? Looking back, I wish I didn't waste so much brainpower, time, and energy seeking the world's approval and OK for every little thing I did at my wedding. Near the end, I began to realize this and let go. That is my advice to brides...as long as your guests are well taken care of and not offended, anything goes. It's YOUR wedding.If you want to invite her, and you can afford to, then by all means extend the invite. She likely will politely decline, but if she felt a connection with you, who knows?Do remember too that she likely is simply good at her job and treats all brides the same way. And perhaps your joyful emotions played a role too. Excited brides seem to "make friends" with everyone who will listen. ;)You can also send her a nice card thanking her, and perhaps some flowers if you are really wanting to make an impact.It is entirely up to you. There is no law that says you can't invite her. P.S. I also thumbs up the idea of writing a Customer Service letter on her behalf. She may even get a raise or promotion due to your kind words. More customers should take the time to really single out those who go the extra mile. A pay raise is a gift that keeps on giving.Good luck! |

| Considering that I had to cut acquaintances from work out of the wedding...no I did not invite my sales consultant to the wedding. Just give it a few weeks and you'll have totally forgotten about her...brides get all gushy when someone is nice to them |
