At least you had a cake. Our baker forgot about us. We get to the reception and oh no cake.

YES. You should go in personally (not call) and speak with the owner. Bring one or two pictures. What is done is done. BUT, maybe you will be able to get some of your money back. A vendor needs to know (and I would assume, would want to) when a customer is not happy.I had a problem with the DJ at my daughter's wedding. Long story....anyway, after the wedding (right away on Monday), I called and spoke with the owner. They rebated me some of the money.Simply tell them that you were totally unhappy with how it came out. Hot pink and cranberry red are two very different colors. They should have accommodated you, or if they could not produce the color you wanted, should have let you know.Yes, speak with them. They will NOT want you to bad mouth them all over town, so I would think they would come to some kind of terms with you regarding a partial rebate.

I think it's too late now, you should have made a stink about it at the wedding, served the cake, but made it clear to the baker that you wanted your money back.

Talk to them and see what they can do for you. The red may have started out pink actually. Pink is one of those tough colors that darkens over time. The fact that they told you they would fix it and didn't means they should compensate you in some way. Do you have a picture of the cake that you can post on here?

I would call the store and speak with the manager. Tell them that you would like a partial if not full refund for the cake. Let them know that you have friends that are going to get married and you will not recommend them to your friends if they do not do something to make the disappointment worth your while.

Yes, you need to get some form of compensation for this. It's not like it cost only $20 - there is a lot of money that goes into a cake. The thing is, if you bought something from the shop and opened it up at home to find out that it wasn't what you ordered you would send it back or get a refund right? Because you used the cake you can't get all your money back, but you have a right to a discount because they stuffed up!
