I need some ideas for unique (possibly DIY) wedding favors. My colors are pink and green. I really don't want like bubbles, organza bags, etc. I was thinking of making everyone their own candy topiary tree. Anyone else have some cool ideas? We're only having about 40 people and about 35 are adults. Thanks!!!!I thought about doing the candy buffet, but since it's such a small reception w/ very little children, I thought it might be too much sugar for the adults.....

I saw a really cool idea once. Each person got a personalized bag/box in your wedding colors and then they got to fill the boxes/bags with a variety of candy. They had all different sizes of jars with different kinds of candy, all in the wedding colors. It was cute.Something else cute was home made coloring books with sketches of the bride and groom in them.

I was at a wedding on sat and they had little boxes with hershy kisses in their wedding colors. I really like the coloring book idea. Another idea is getting coasters with a picture of the bride and groom. My cousin did Tshirts but I thought it was kinda tacky

That really sounds cute! You could do whatever shape you wanted and use candy that has your wedding colors in it. I think you can even order specific color m&ms. Here is a link that has a cute one: http://www.creative-baby-shower-ideas.com/candy-topiary.html Something else you may want to consider (depending on the time of year) is giving flower seeds. You can order then in bulk the design some paper envelopes online. Then you can cut and glue the envelopes together. There are alot of gardening and craft sites that have the directions and templates. You could take the template diagram and add your own pics or clipart or wording. That would really be inexpensive, too.I know you want something more elaborate than this, but I though this was cute, so I'll share. A friend of mine had a hershey's hug and a hershey's kiss on a pastel, plastic spoon, wrapped with tulle and ties with a ribbon with an attached tag that said "Hugs and kisses from the Mr. and Mrs." Kind of corny, but it was cute.......You could do that easily with your colors......Maybe something for the kids to eat!

Make homemade cookies...you could get enogh for everyone in 1 or 2 batches. Wrap them up in cellophane and put a personalized label on it...you could probably print them at home.

I made birdseed roses. The long-stemmed roses were satin (stiff) and I had them in a basket by the exit door. The flower girl had some in her basket and she handed them out as people went to see us off. Plu the other basket on the table held some. There was a verse attached, but I do not recall the verse. [Something like fly little bird and spread (carry?) the word that Tom and Sue were married today.]I sewed a long, narrow tube of satin (about an inch-wide) and cut off lengths at two or three inch interval. I inserted a floral wire stem and wrapped it with green florist tape inserting artificial rose leaflets from a flower shop here and there. Then you fill them with a teaspoon of bird seed to throw when you leave. You can also place the roses in tall wine buckets of extra birdseed by the door. However, you had better check with a person in charge at the location. i know some churches do not like the bird poop mess, but with your small group, it should be no problem. Then they have a wedding remembrance handcrafted by the bride.

Instead of a candy buffet, how about a cookie buffet? I bet everyone would love that. You could even serve little bottles of milk with it as well
