A multi-colored bead bangle is perfect for setting an exotic dinner table. Save discarded costume jewelry, beads or pearls so you could later thread them to match your tableware. For creating the tropical atmosphere you can make extensive use of plants; the more exotic the plants, the better!Instead of using formal place cards, use bright ribbons to tie an old-fashioned luggage label to the back of each chair.Surprise your guest with cocktails with flower petals frozen in ice for an unbelievable vibrant effect. …. and enjoy your big day!

You could decorate with leis, pineapples, tropical flowers. Use colors found in tropical flowers for your color scheme. Maybe decorate with bird of paradise, plumeria, roses that will go with the birds of paradise. A pineapple place card holder if you are going to do place cards.

My daughters wedding is in August and is having a tropical beach themed wedding. We purchased tropical fish folding fans as a favor for each of our guests as it will be hot. We have glass fish bowls with a shell wreath on the outside, inside is sand and water and floating glass fish.(those will be the centerpieces). Her tables have an "ocean" blue tablecloth with a "sand" tan topper. The china is all white with little shell shaped plates for butter. Her place cards were made with tropical fish candles that we inserted spiraled wire into, then we printed the names onto business cards using ocean blue ink.Hope this helps.

To help with the cost of flowers try getting more potted plants from your Lowes or Home depot. They will have plants that look like small palm trees and it'll help with the floral cost while still giving you a little extra decoration.

There are lots of different ways to decorate for a tropical wedding. For the flowers, I would definitely use some orchids. They are gorgeous flowers and they add a stunning touch. Maybe you could do something like this for the tables:http://www.thairificorchids.com/images/center_pieces4.jpghttp://www.japaneseweddingfavors.com/images/centerpiece_wedding.jpghttp://aliiflowers.com/hawaiian_images/tropical_Hawaiian_flowers/jpgs_big/loose_orchid_blossoms.jpghttp://www.vibride.com/images/photoalbum/38/Orchid_centerpiece.jpghttp://blog.kimvallee.com/images/blog_kimvallee_com/WindowsLiveWriter/Partyfavorsandtabletopinspirations_1200E/wedding_partyideas%5B5%5D.jpghttp://www.alohafriendsshop.com/EasyEditor/assets/ti%20collage.jpghttp://www.bridalinsider.com/PhotoSwap/orchid.bmphttp://www.jamaicantreasures.com/images/floralfantasy/DCP_1178.jpgHere are a few ideas for place cards:http://www.elegantweddingsplus.com/catalog/U06168A_96_1.jpghttp://www.documentsanddesigns.com/images/Universal_Florals/Orchids/Place_Cards/E-Place_Card_Orchid_Swirl_2.jpghttp://www.weddingfavorsunlimited.com/Images/KA-ShellPlaceCard_LG.jpgIdeas for favors:http://store.themintbox.com/Store/media/tropical-tin.jpghttp://www.weddingfavors-smart.com/images/orchidgelcandleP-L.jpghttp://www.kateaspenweddingfavors.com/images/flipflops.jpghttp://www.gcdspa.com/beachparty.jpg

We are also doing a tropical/beach theme. We are using shells from our trips to the beach for our tables, and center Pisces, as well as fresh orchid petals. Instead of doing bouquets we are using fresh leis for our wedding party, and doing the lei ceremony. As our guest's walk in they will receive a shell lei, rather then doing a bunch of favors. I'm wearing a very light weight wedding dress that I found at Macy's. My girls ordered their dresses from Lava hut in Hawaii, and I think they spent $40.00 with shipping, and it's something they will wear again. My fiance found a site in Hawaii as well, and ordered his wedding shirt, and his guy's shirts as well. We chose not to do place cards, but you can try http://orientaltradingcompany.com for beach wedding supplies. Good Luck, And Have Fun With It. Planning this has been a blast...

I actually saw this done before! It was wonderful! The overlays on the tables were a kiwi green; the chair covers white with a bright pink bow and kiwi colored bow wrapped together. The centerpieces were tall thick vases with these plants in them that looked tropical (put in all the way down to the bottom and coming out the top). They also had these tropical lights inside the vase that ran on batteries. It was AWSOME!
