Im having my wedding outside, and there are no electrical outlets for music. We were thinking about just having no outside music, and just having music at the inside reception. That means no music for the bridal entrance... do you think that will be okay??

Sure. People will be applauding and won't hear music anyway.

Yes, I have seen it done . . . no music at an informal outdoor wedding. It was fine. An alternative would be to hire a single musician . . . one flutist, or one guitarist, or one violinist. Or you could use a portable CD player, one that uses batteries. Good luck to you.

well it depends... do you like a dramatic entrance? this usually includes music... actually I haven't been into one that doesnt have music and i think it will feel awkward if not for you for some of your guests... but hey, music doesn't make the marriage... it's you and your soon to be husband so go with what you feel like.

You could hire someone or get a friend to sing ...... maybe a cd player that uses batteries as an alternative to a power cord

If you wanted music you could always play a song on a cd player boombox that takes batteries.

Best invention - BATTERIES. Someone you know has to have a portable stereo which runs on batteries!

You don't have to have music by any means - however I personally feel that it gives a nice atmosphere to the whole thing. We had an outdoor wedding and hired a string quartet to play and it was beautiful. If money is a problem then go to a local uni and advertise that you want someone - they charge a lot less and are usually just as good (though make sure you do listen to them first).Just be aware though that in most outdoor settings, music can be drowned out - so make sure you have enough musicians (more than just 1 or 2) or a loud enough boom box if that is what you are going to do.
