| I am planning my wedding for late october or early november. i wanted to used colors that are a little out of the ordinary so i chose blue ( a deep blue, not sure what hue yet) an orange. I am finding it difficult to come up with decoration ideas with my colors. I am paying for this wedding myself so cheaper the better, and I dont mind being crafty either. We are a fun and very casual couple and want this wedding to be a fun event for everyone that attends. Thanks! |

| WOW that is coolWhat we did was chose to do the princess bride theme as it was our first movie HOWEVER with peacock feathers as wellWith blue and orange you can get sand with vases (quirky shapes from the dollar stores) and then place Little blue shells and orange flowers in them as well as the floating colored candles in a bowl with those colorsBelow is a great place to shop to for party supplies as wellalso for a back drop get cheesecloth and hang in the back ..( dye it black then get colored lights to put behind them..it looks sooooo cool!GOOD LUCK hope i was helpful! |

| Well I think you can buy balloons and decorations in most colours these days if you go to a specialised store. Helium balloons weighted down on the buffett table look nice as do chocs wrapped in orange and blue paper of course in a little net bag to give to the guests. You could have blue stattice and orange chrysanthemums on the tables its the time of year for those in England at least,maybe also some autumn leaves.You could ask male guests to wear blue ties and females to wear orange dresses as well as the bridesmaids.Congrats and have a good day! |

| How about... "Under the Sea?"You can find HEAPS of decorations for this theme. Buy some of those big round glass fish bowls and chuck in some blue stones and some gold fish for centrepieces. Sounds quirky, looks cute... |

| I like pumpkins with some autumn bouquets from the grocery store cut down for centers. and the autmn leaves spread around the outside of the pumpkins with the blue table linens. maybe some burnt orange color candles around the outside of the pumpkins! (NO silly faces on them just plain old pumpkins gutted so you could use them as the holder for the flowers.) Maybe some little ones around the big one with the flowers. oh and some blue ribbons stuck to the outside of the pumpkins! |

| I love this idea, I think its all in the blending i.e. flowersIf your haven't bought your dresses yet, it may look cool to go for a deep blue with a hint of purple which would compliment the orange more look at this pic;http://www.louisvillewedding.com/magazine/2003summer/2003summer_colorfulshades/colorshades4fullsum03.jpgIf you have dresses already, then maybe introduce a third colour into the flowers to make the dresses more striking like thisor if you would like it to blend, perhaps a light blue flower with orange lillies? | Hi, I'm getting married in August next year and my colours are hot pink and orange. We are having white chair covers with hot pink organza sashes and bright orange organza sashes alternating so that will really set the colour theme in the room. Also we've chosen Gerberas as the flowers as they are very bright and funky flowers. You could have a bright funky cake in orange and blue and that would tie in with the chairs and table flowers or even ask the venue if they could do blue and/or orange napkins etc. I found with choosing two really bright colours less is more.
