We are having blue/silver/white as the colours. I do not want flowers as decorations. Do you have any ideas for decorating tables that will not cost too much.

candles, stones, fruit (although I don't think fruit would work with your colors).Martha Stewart Wedding Theme: Blue and Silver:http://www.marthastewart.com/article/perfect-palette-blue-and-silver?lnc=06b7281a117ee010VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&rsc=photogallery_wedding-themes_weddings_wedding-themes_p4

What season is the wedding in and is it inside or out?If its inside and close to winter then get some tall vases 22-24inches high and fill them with the bulb ornaments you find around christmas time. If you want it to glow in the dim light then you can get light boxes that are battery operated and set the filled vases on top of the box. It actually ends up looking like its one whole piece. Also, filling up the vase with water and submerging the bulbs will look pretty. Also if you can find them, tall branches in a vase buy some feux pearls thats used to put edging on things(comes in a huge string) and drape the pearls on the branches then add candles or the lightbox at the end...hope these help! Why no flowers? Looking for unique ideas or can't afford them? If the budget doesn't allow floral you can still have flowers at the wedding. At the reception place a round or square mirror on the table then votive candles around the mirror. In the center of the mirror place a small clear glass bowl fill it with that fancy rock you can buy (the shiny stuff...in the craft sections at stores) fill up the bowl with some water and place a single flower in the water and let it float. Its pretty. And if you want to skip the rock you can still do a clear bowl and either cut up all the flower stems to the exact length of the bowl and line the inside with those packed agaisnt each other OR buy banana leaves and cut them so they fit in the bowl and line the inside with the leaf. This is done so the cut stem of the flower doesnt show. The candles make it look gorgeous too!

http://www.seefred.com/cgi-bin/shop.pl/page=beadedgarland.htmcheck this link for my suggestion. you only need one lenghth of the garland per table so $6 plus a candle. hire the candle holders and mirrors for underneath. you can put a couple of votives around it if you want.or this.http://www.surroundings.com/order.cgi?cart_id=&page=jeweled.html

Decorations should compliment the formality / theme of your wedding, so go with an idea that matches the feel of your wedding as well as your budget. For my casual, summer tent wedding we're making pinwheels to stick in vases on the tables. We're anchoring them in mason jars filled with those glass beads, but you could also use sand to save even more dollars. Pinwheels are easy to make, super cheap, and add movement to the tables. Plus you can vary the height and size of them for added interest. I had seen the idea forever ago in a Martha Stewart magazine where she used pinwheels as decorations at a Fourth of July picnic. I just bought a pad of scrapbook paper in my colors and bingo, now they're wedding pinwheels. Look at all kinds of magazines and shows for ideas. Maybe there's some other idea that you've seen in a magazine that you can "wedding-up" with a little alteration.
