I have asked for help with wedding flowers before on here to go with an orange bridesmaid dress - I just want clarification on something. The BMs will be carrying simple cream roses (the dresses are an orangy/coral/terracotta/reddy colour) and the brides bouquet will be hot orange roses, mango calla lilies and green orchids - the question is - what about the buttonholes?I was thinking the green orchids would be very nice? What do you think? The mens suits are brown with hopefully the same orangy cravats...Opinions please!

yeah i would go with a small orange rose with greenery for the guys. i think the light green of the orchid might get a little lost against the brown of the jackets.

An orange rose and some greenery would look best. Go for something simple as the colour is strong enough to stand out on it's own....xxx

I presume the green orchids are mini-cymbidiums... If they are really tiny, they should be fine... Otherwise you could try with ALSTROEMERIA (also called peruvian lillies) they come in dozens of colours including orange varieties... they are the perfect size for boutonnieres, and they also last very well...There is also a variety of miniature crisanthemums in green that is really nice and mixes well with any of the flowers in your bouquets... (Right now I don't remember the name, but it is similar to the Funshine variety...your florist will know which one I mean). I did two bridal bouquets in your same colour range last july!(I'd love to see how yours looks!)Have a great wedding! ... And a wonderful married life afterwards!!!

If the mens suits will have the orangey cravat, I think I would stick with the cream roses the BM's are carrying, for continuity. The girls are not carrying the orchids so I would not have the guys wear them. If you choose to, you could have your groom wear the orchid, but the other men should coordinate with the BM's. Now, if you are having the corsages for the Mothers, etc. made using the orchids, then by all means their partners/escorts can have the orchids as well.

brown and orange suits? please no. either brown with champagne/cream color ties or black with the orange. and no orchids, that won't work on a lapel. just go for roses- 2 buds for the groom and 1 for everyone else.
