I am having a fall wedding and we are doing the red thing too. I have found a TON of great stuff 50% off at hobby lobby and michaels. I dont know if you have those stores where you are. If not, -any- craft/floral type store has 1/2off sales..just check the ads every week. You can go to the stores websites for the sales flyers, good luck!!

Find really nice, silk ones. People frown at fake flowers but you can get whatever you want at half the price if not less. Find some floral pictures you like and duplicate the arrangement with silk flowers.

Maybe you could incorporate other elements with your flowers, like hypericum berries, p**** willows, tree branches, fruit (pomegranate, apples, spray-painted ones), or even fragrant herbs.

The best thing would be to talk to your local florist on what will be cheapest in regards to flowers. Also, if you have a Costco nearby, they have great wedding flower packages on their website for a great price. Also, try your local flower market to make your own if you are a crafty type person.

I am having roses and my girls are going to carry roses as well, we are doing half the bouquet in silk roses and the rest will be real. This cuts the cost down a ton. I am supplying my florist with the silk roses, I got them from Wal-Mart they were only $3.00 for 7 roses. She made a sample one for me and you really can not tell that 1/2 are fake.

I bought my bouquet and my brides maids bouquet at Michael's Craftstore. They had premaid flower bouquets in the dried flower area. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. Then I made my fiance's and his grooms men's bootineers. Don't spend money on real flowers or giving flowers out to everyone. Only do the wedding party.

Gerberas are great. They come in the hot colours you are working with and because they are big you don't need so many to make a statement. And they are pretty inexpensive. They are a beautiful summer wedding flower. I'm biased, we used them for our wedding and they were amazing.

If you do flowers that are in season when you get married, they will be much cheaper. Carnations are always inexpensive as are daisies. Roses as long as it's not February around Valentine's Day aren't bad in cost.
