The facility that we chose for our wedding does "day-of" rehearsals, we just show up about 1-2 hrs before the ceremony and the coordinator goes through all the steps with everyone. The problem? Can we still have a "rehearsal dinner" and if so, what should it be called for the invitations?

I definitely would do the "rehearsal dinner" at least the night before.Ask the coordinator if there are any materials you can hand out.Maybe call it an "appreciation dinner" for your attendants?

Just call it a Dinner. Just put on the invites that the actual rehearsal is the following day and what time. I don't see anything wrong with that.

The point of a rehersal is to have a "rehersal" and then eat dinner. Why don't you jst have a dinner with your bridal party.I really don't think it's a good idea to be practicing 2 hours before the wedding. will the people show up for this?

Pre Rehearsal Dinner! Because the night of the rehearsal(wedding day) you will be serving another dinner right? So they will be fed all the way around! Pre Wedding Mixer I like the sound of that! I think I will use something like that for my invites! Good luck!

Yes you can have a rehearsal dinner. I would have the dinner the night before the wedding. I wouldn't worry so much about the invitation wording, just put rehearsal dinner on the invites somewhere.

We did the rehearsal on a Tuesday night, and the Bride and Groom scheduled their Rehearsal Dinner at 5PM on Friday. We did the rehearsal on a Saturday at Noon, and the Bride and Groom scheduled their Rehearsal Breakfast at 9AM in a diner close by (three hourse before the rehearsal). We did the rehearsal on a Sunday morning and two weeks later the Bride and Groom scheduled a Hawaiian theme Rehearsal Party on a Sunday afternoon at 1PM in a friend's backyard (who had a pool and outdoor kitchen).Call it anything you want . . PARTY DINNER BREAKFAST or LUNCHEON. It does not have to be a dinner . . and it does not have to be in a restaurant . . and it does not have to be on the same day as the rehearsal.Answered by: A Certified wedding specialist / A Professional bridal consultant / A Wedding ceremony officiant

Our place had the same rules, so what we did was had our rehearsal somewhere else the night before and had our "rehearsal dinner" then. Just an idea... Hope it helps!

You can but I wouldn't go to the expense of it since it's not necessary. Why add more to the wedding budget?
