My Mom & Step dad, my Daddy, my Grandma & my fiance's parents are all helping out with our wedding so im not sure how to word our invites....Some times people put who ever is helping them pay for it on there but we have so many people. And some times they just put the parents so I dont know what to do....Please give me some ideas that you used or maybe some links to some ideas...Thanks! Smile

It should just say your name, your fiance's name, and then "together with their families" invite you to share the joy, or whatever your wording was. For our invitations, our parents were helping us, and it just said my name and his name, then "together with their parents". Congrats!

How about "The families of ____ and ___ request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their children."Check with everyone you mentioned to see if that will be allright. Congratulations.

I like the inclusion of the word "family" or "families" in the invite.HOWEVER, I strongly encourage you to call all those people paying towards the wedding and ask them if that is OK with them that you word it that way. Be up-front and tell them you are getting so much help that you wish you could name them all but there won't be room for the pertinent information if you did.Run it past them and you will save yourself a world of grief later.

I am getting married in September. I have decided to use a general invite that says basically says that my fiance and I invite you to attend our wedding. I wasn't too into the whole idea of the traditional way where only the brides parents get mentioned in the invite. I think to save everyones feelings and save you worrying about hurting everyones feelings, you should just say that you and your fiance are inviting people on the invite. You should check out invitationsbydawn.com, they have lots of pretty invitation says you can use to help you type up your own. That's where I got my ideas.

It depends on the formality of the affair:FormalMr Your Dad along withMr and Mrs Your Stepfather's Namerequest the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughterMs Your NametoMr Fiance's NameSon of Mr and Mrs His ParentsName of Church/Placeetc, etcLess formal:The families of Ms Your NameandMr His Namecordially invite you to join themin the celebration of marriageIF you say, Ms Me and Mr Him, together with our families,... that implies that YOU are paying for the wedding.I think your best resource on this would be whomever you're ordering the invites from. They'd probably have the best idea.Good luck
