I was just wondering who all to give tips to the day of the wedding. I'm already paying 20% gratuity to the caterer and 20% to the limo. What about the photographer, dj, etc....?

Geez- you tip EVERYBODY- it's endless. Unless you have it spelled out in the contract w/ the photographer and DJ that the tip is already included. However, even in that situation- if they went over and above- I'd still tip. And for the preacher/minister if you have one- it's a contribution to their place of worship. |

NOPE, you pay the preacher, directly, not his place of worship. We paid the person who sang, and we payed the person who played the music. I dont think I would tip the caterer, I would pay them what they asked. WOW 20% to the limo, you are very nice. If you paid $300 for a limo, I would think 10% for the driver but hey, that is just me.

Tipping the photographer is questionable. I would wait to see the quality of the pictures, then decide on the tip. You will also need to tip the clergy, and any other professional working for you that day...like the DJ. Get a book on wedding planning / etiquette. They normally have a blurb on who to tip and how much.

I tipped the priest, ulter boy (I'm Catholic), then the limo driver, & that was it. The hotel already figured in tips into the bill & as for the photographer, video guy, & DJ they were all very well paid & I fed them all at the reception so there was no need for tipping. Hope this helps. I recommend looking over your contracts for the most part it is already included.
