software that I need, or should I just hire a DJ to do it?sorry i should have mentioned that i am using a pc with windows and not a mac...thanks

You could import the cd onto your computer, through itunes. Then, you can take one song at a time, and edit it in windows movie maker. It is really easy to edit the songs in there.

Ok if you are using a mac you can import the song to garage band. Once you get it there you can bring the playhead to the spot you want it cut off at and click split video at playhead and then you can cut the audio out of the Song
