| That is a pretty long lens for shooting any event .. You may find the new Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 the best lens for your application. The Nikkor 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G is the lens you are looking for, but as you see at its longest focal length, it is a f/5.6 lens and attempting to get good Bokeh will be problematic. Shooting with the 24-70 at 70mm @ f/2.8 may suit your shooting needs better.http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/bokeh.htmI am curious why you would think that you could NOT use the same lenses on your Nikon DSLR's.
