I need help deciding what to serve @ our buffet. I've only listed items I would consider eating on the list below so all are good with me. As a guest, what would you pick? As a host? Let me know your choices for each of the 4 groups: 1 - Cold Appetizers, pick 3: Veggies/Dip, Fruit/Dip, Cheese/Crackers, Cheese Ball/Crackers, Bread/Spinach Dip2 - Hot Appetizers, pick 3: Swedish Meatballs, Cocktail Franks in Bourbon Sauce, Mini Quiche, Mini Crab Balls, Scallops in Bacon, Coconut Shrimp, Mini Egg Rolls, Chicken Tenders/Honey Mustard Sauce3 - Entree, pick 4: Stuffed Chicken Breast, Baked Honey Glazed Ham, Vegetable Lasagne, Roast Pork Loin, Cranberry Chicken, Roast Top Round of Beef, Marinated Chicken, Prime Rib, Chicken Marsala, Homemade crab cakes, Potato Crusted Cod4 - Side dishes, pick 3: parsley potatoes, au gratin potatoes, asparagus/mushrooms, fettucine alfredo, rice pilaf, corn, broccoli, whipped potatoes, baby potato, glazed carrots, cauliflower, vegetable medleyAvis - I have to go with the group and knock ya here, - this venue has been used by several family & friends for their buffet and it is very highly recommended. The whole point of the buffet is so I can have 4 entrees to offer the guests rather than my fiance & I deciding what all of our guests are going to eat.I also feel that buffets are better in that people who are fussy or don't eat much take what they want and less food will end up in the trash. We're pretty much decided on Veggie Lasagne to accomodate non-meat eaters (I think 1 cousin fits this description) and the crab cakes, which are my fiance's favorite.

I won't be at your wedding. Ask your fiance what he thinks and decide between you. Have what you are comfortable with. It's your wedding and the cyber world is not invited, so have what you want and be happy in your decision. Good luck.

Your number one mistake is having a buffet. A BUFFET is based on QUANTITY . . and a sit-down dinner is based on QUALITY. Now which one would you rather have? A meal that came out of numerous cans, boxes, and bags or a meal that was created with fresh ingredients that day.A $45 per person sit-down dinner is far superior to a $45 per person buffet.Answered by: A Certified wedding specialist / A Professional bridal consultant / A Wedding ceremony officiant
