My fiancee is from seattle and works at starbucks so were giving coffee, and Im from chicago and also want to give something chicago themed. I was thinking the hot dog gum, and garret caramel corn. Any other original ideas? Something small, and not too expensive.

The only thing that I can think of when I think of Chicago is wind...kind of hard to give that away as a wedding favor. What if you did something cute from the movie Chicago? Maybe you could give a favor based on that theme? Or, maybe you could give away minature versions of the Sears Tower? That would be cute...I would say try and do something with Chicago style pizza, but that would be pretty hard to give away as favors - although very tasty! :)Perhaps you can think of something that you can pair well with coffee that Chicago is known for...you could get some peanuts and package them in Cubs favor bags. Those are just some ideas off the top of my head - I don't know if they did much good. I don't know if I would use the hot dog gum - but the caramel corn sounds like a good idea.

I've never seen the hot dog gum, but I like using the Garret's caramel corn (Nuts on Clark would work as well). Great Idea!!

Are the Fields mints still available? (even though Macy's bought Marshall Fields, I thought I read somewhere that they were going to keep selling the mints under that name.)Or is there another local candy company where you could buy something from?Or something from the Brookfield Zoo or the Science Museum?
