I bought some small round tin containers for wedding favors. I made the personalized sticker to put on top and I want to tie ribbon around the sides. The problem is that the tops of these containers easily come of, and im worried that the ribbon will come off the sides of the containers. I tried to tie the ribbon tight enough but it still slides a little. I was thinking about putting a few pieces of double sided tape on the containers to make sure the tops dont come off, and then the ribbon will also stay around the containers. Do you think this is a good idea, or do you have any other suggestions.

Sometimes double sided tape doesn't adhere as well to certain things, and ribbon could be one of them. I would suggest using a dab of hot glue from a glue gun because I know it will work, and it will be easier than trying to work with double sided tape.

BUy a glue gun there in expensive and work really well. You could even have the bow made and this way you have a perfect bow and you glue it with the hot glue gun to the little tin container. DOnt use tape.

Good idea! Just make sure the ribbon is just wide enough to cover the tape.

I think that that the double sided tape would work great - that was actually going to be my suggestion before i finished reading the question.*edit - I'm not sure that i fully understand your question (i'm not sure whether i'm confused, or other people are confused). If you are trying to keep the container closed, i would go with the double sided tape. If you are trying to keep the ribbon on - go with the hot glue (that is what we use at my job!). Obviousley, you shouldnt' glue the containers or people wouldn't be able to get them open........

LOL...before I finished reading your question I thought of that double sided tape, then read that you have already thought of it yourself.... It will definitely do the trick!

Depending on the type of ribbon, what about using a little super glue to hold the ribbon in place? Not much, just a dab on maybe 2 or 3 sides of the tin so it doesn't really move around.
