Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!I used daisies in my bouquet many years ago in the fall as they are my favorite flower too! That said....YES, you most certainly can use dark purple and daisies. I would assume that you will be having the bridesmaids in a dark purple dress. Were you thinking of the regular type of daisies like these?:http://www.bayfloristgifts.com/images/products/T011-02.jpgOR...were you more thinking of the larger daisies (Gerbera daisies) like this?:http://www.companyflowers.com/AvailableElsewhere_files/FF21_2.jpgYou could choose either. The regular ones would look nice (in white) against the purple dresses. OR, you could do the Gerbera daisies in white OR yellow!Yellow would really make things stand out. Yellow is directly opposite purple on the color wheel:http://jilldenton.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/color-wheel.jpgso....that means that it would be a good color. As far as contrasts, you want a color directly opposite on the color wheel.Whatever you choose, I'm sure they will be beautiful!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Use the colors you like, regardless of season. Use the flowers you like, regardless of season, unless those flowers are prohibitively expensive. If it's your favorite color and flowers, it's appropriate for YOUR wedding regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Purple works anytime of the year. I love daisies too, but I don't know how well they would work since they are a spring and summer flower. I thik they would look pretty, you may just have to pay extra to get them since they are out of season.
