| My cousin's wedding is in late June, and my mom (who is in her late 50's) is going to be one of her sponsors, but she has no idea what kind of formal dress she should wear, or even where to start looking. (We're still trying to contact my cousin about the color theme of her wedding.) Any ideas, photos of formal wear, (or examples of name brands) of what might look nice would be helpful. Thanks. |

| First of all, your mom shouldn't worry about matching with the color theme of the wedding. Leave that to the bridesmaids. Just stay away from the obvious wedding color no-nos like white or bright colors that are eyesores. Here are some ideas of dresses for her age that would also be comfortable to wear in June when its usually warm. They are dresses from Sears which are cheaper and easy to find.http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_031A1290000P?vName=Clothing&cName=Women%27s&sName=Dresses+%26+Social+Occasion&filter=Length%7CMid+calfhttp://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_031A1264000P?vName=Clothing&cName=Women%27s&sName=Dresses+%26+Social+Occasion&filter=Length%7CMid+calfhttp://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_031A1267000P?vName=Clothing&cName=Women%27s&sName=Dresses+%26+Social+Occasion&filter=Length%7CMid+calfhttp://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_031A0873000P?vName=Clothing&cName=Women%27s&sName=Dresses+%26+Social+Occasion&filter=Length%7CMid+calf |

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
