| He ask me in March at a Kid Rock concert. Which was great & perfect for us. I love him so much. We do have a 18mo. old son together and have lived together about 2 and half years now. There's been a couple of times he could have ask my dad for his blessing, but hasn't done it yet. I want to tell people and he has told his friends that live away from us,but no one close. Not even his mom. We both had really bad first marriages & no real wedding with our families there. We both want to have a wedding with all our families and everything. I'm not sure if he's thinking maybe this won't work out like his last marriage was. His lasted only 3 mo. and mine almost 3 years. How should I approach him about this again?? I want to start planning and do this the right way. |

| That's not uncommon. My sister just got engaged and emailed me but asked me to not spread it around because her fiance wanted to ask our father's permission. She's 41, and hasn't been married before.In her case, her fiance was just waiting until the weekend to ask. |
