I've seen many weddings at Pioneer Park, I think that's the name of it. There's that covered picnic area, it's not far from the water. My sister is getting married at Aspen Hall (across from Shevlin Park) in April and she really likes the place. Go to www.centraloregonweddingexpo.com and see if they still have their information up. It will be a huge help. As far as money savers, the party supply shop behind Del Taco on third has some great decorations. Also the Dollar Store on the south side of town may have inexpensive decoration ideas. Congratulations, by the way!! Smile

Well I'm not sure the rates in Oregon but some general wedding rules of thumb for saving money are:*Dont get married in June, a lot of reception halls and such charge double for summer/June weddings than off season Sept-April.*Dont get married on weekend same as above the rates are more expensive than on weekdays.*Try looking for public places like parks and gardens they're normally free or cheap! OR if you have somebody in your family that was/is in the military a lot of places give you discounts and Military bases usually let you hold a wedding there free. *Make your food yourself or find a somebody willing to do it cheaply. This is normally the 2nd largest part of the budget. Search Craiglist or your local news station classifieds. * Have a photography student do youre pictures OR a photographer whos willing to do it free to add to his portfolio. But that methode means they get to keep the copyright so you would need their permission to use the pictures for anything comercial....I've been planning a wedding too,and these are some things I've been hearing from a bunch of people. And vendors. Good luck and Congrats!
