We're getting married at 9:00pm at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on 8/8/08. We're definitely not the traditional-type (we both love horror movies, tattoos and punk rock just to give an idea of our style). We're not having a formal reception, but instead are casually convening at a bar that my fiancée and I both love after the ceremony is over around 10:30pm. A more formal reception is in the works after we return home to California. There will be as many as 100 people in attendance the night of our ceremony. What kind of gifts (or at least spending minimums) can you recommend for us to give to our guests, attendants and parents? We're both new at this and really appreciate your ideas. Thanks!

I am getting married in Las Vegas and I am spending a little over a $100 per girl. $85 for hair. Some earrings and a jewelry pouch.I think with them traveling so far, you should spend a little more than you normally would spend. We are thinking of getting our parents tickets to one of the Cirque de Soleil shows. I am not sure what he is getting his groomsmen yet.

Since you are not the traditional type, I think you should forget about giving these individuals material gifts. A nice gesture would be to have a professional photographer provide the parents and attendants with individual and/or couple photos, with you and your spouse-to-be picking up the tab for this.

Put together gift bags with different favors in them if gift bags are too expensive, look at these options especially the playing cards and poker chips: http://www.beau-coup.com/las-vegas-wedding-party-favors.htm

How about tickets to indoor skydiving, roller coaster rides at New York, New York or the Sahara, or gondola rides at the Venetian? You can also get casino chip key chains with chips from someplace like the Hard Rock, where the chips are works of art(the $25 chip is a purple Jimi Hendrix portrait).

I agree with Shanti - do something Vegas - do Vegas favors!http://www.epersonalized-gifts.com/party-favors-sort-by-themes-vegas-poker-themed-favors.html?page=viewall&referral=adwords&kw=LasVegasFavor&gclid=CMftoumN9ZICFQx7PAodembx1Qand maybe you could get shirts from the Hard Rock for your attendants, etc. - there's so much in Vegas - maybe some gift bags & stuff?
