Is it ok to give gift certificates to helpers & attendants at your wedding? Any other suggestions?

Me personally, I would LOVE to get a gift certificate. One of my bridesmaids loves starbucks and I was thinking of getting her a starbucks gift certificate. Some people would rather have a momentum of the wedding.

I would think you would want to make it more personal. A gift certificate isn't something they can put away and bring out again years from now and remember the special day. Go to Things Remembered in a mall and get something fairly inexpensive and in your price range to personalize.

A couple of weddings I have been in the brides gave us girls jewelry, not expensive, just stuff you could pic up at the mall at stores like Claires or the Icing, I still wear the stuff with certain outfits. But also LOVE the gift card idea! The thing about personalised gifts is my hubby have been in numerous weddings and he has flasks, money clips, beer mugs that are engraved with his name and a nice little saying that are right now just packed in storage. They are simply things he just doesn't use. So it seems a waste, imo.

I think they are great to give but what we did was give the girls their jeweler and the guys their personalized mugs and will give them all a certificate to their favorite restaurant or store.

American Express Gift Cheques. You can purchase at a bank, they come in gold and they can spend anywhere on anything they want. I like getting them, because it does not limit me to one store.
