I am doing a buffet for my wedding. We have about 150 guests and my wedding is in no way casual. The head table and parents table is served. This way people get what they want. I don't believe it will take very long. The venue I chose had both options and the buffet was actually more. But the buffet came with so many options compared to the sit down meal. Also: please PLEASE do not do that to your 20 year old guests. I can't imagine how I would feel if I went to a reception and found out that they had a big meal just before but didn't invite me because I was 20 and single. Instead I get pizza? I wouldn't care if it was gourmet pizza. I would still be very insulted. It's just very bad etiquette. If you can't afford to give those guests a sit down meal, don't invite them. ALL OR NOTHING.
