I understand the budget thing. My wedding was done on a very small one. My best advice is to have fun looking for things. Go to the dollar store, party stores and places like Wal-Mart. Look for inexpensive vases and put in colored marbles with water and floating candles. Come up with imaginative ways to use ribbon. These stores usually have some pretty good choices as far as candle holders, vases, and colorful doodads to make a wedding charming. I seriously would not worry about favors. No one really cares about those things. They are there for you, not the favors. I hope everything turns out beautifully. Just have fun! Even without a single decoration, if you have fun it will be the most beautiful wedding ever.

http://www.cameo-favours.co.uk/favourboxes.htmlthese favour boxes are really cheep, for my dads wedding i got 10 for 1.80 so many to choose from, and you can fill with sweets you buy yourself.also a touch we do at my hotel is the bride buys some paper coloured napkings of her colour choise and we fold them in to the linnen ones we provide, looks really effective, table confetti/sprinkles are quite cheep now and bring colour to the table. and for cheepish table centres maybe go to ikea and get some talights and holders maybe they do blue candles, or some glass bowls and some blue floating candles.

the wedding center piece that i used I couldn't find any where. So I went to the dollar tree and got a candle holder and a fish bowl shaped dish and glued them together with a glass glue and put a tapper candle in it and silk mums around the top. It was so pretty they looked like they where $75. a piece they only cost $6. For wedding favors I got some porcelain bride doll on sale for $0.25 a piece and bubbles and Hersey kiss in the netting to match the wedding

I'm having a wedding on a budget, and saw no point to wasting hundreds of dollars on favors. People don't miss them, and usually toss them after the wedding. Instead, for less than $60, I am making my own candy buffet--somehting even my smallest guests will enjoy. All you need is glass vases of various shapes and sizes, favor boxes or bags, scoops, and candy in my wedding colors from a bulk store like Sam's.EDIT: Flaca, not to be rude, but it's okay to make them candy boxes, but not okay to let the guests choose their own candy and make their own? I LOVE Righthip's idea. I have never been a fan of Oriental Trading, but those stickers on the Kisses could be easily incorporated into a candy buffet.

Fill 3 oz.dixie cups with plaster and stick a paper clip in it so a small loop sticks out. Use this to tie your helium balloons to. Then cover the plaster(usually remove paper cup) with a piece of colored craft foil paper tied at the top with a ribbon.Get white styrofoam forms from craft store and use streamer picks or flower picks to create the centerpieces. Then cover styrofoam with that same foil craft paper and tie with a ribbon.Take bridal veil material-you can even find this in craft stores and Wal-Mart. It comes in light blue. Cut eight inch squares. Stick the center down in one of those three ounce dixie cups. Fill the center with a small amount of bird seed and tie tightly with a ribbon in bow for ease of guests. Fill several baskets and have them at either the sign in table with guest book or have the ushers offer them to the guests as they are seated so they may shower you with bird seed as you leave the church. Rice can kill bird as it swells in there stomach. This also turned out to be cheaper than bubbles.

I dont agree with skipping favors. I think the tradition of remembering your guests as they wish you well on your wedding day is something that should be continued. What I think has happened is people giving junky things because they its cute - in the end it just become a dust catcher. Simple is best. I love these little blue boxes... http://www.favorfavor.com/page/FF/PROD/505 Just drop in some candy/mints and your guests will appreciate your thoughtfulness & enjoy the sweet!
