I want to scan photos of my fiance and I growing up, and then put them on a slideshow with music for the reception. What is the best program for that, and will I be able to edit the music?? I want to put it on a cd, and then use a projector at the reception...Thanks for your help!Well "Nice Girl", I didn't ask for an opinion on the slideshow, I asked for a program. If you don't know how to answer the questions correctly, you shouldn't be answering them!I guess that came out a little wrong. It's not that I don't welcome opinions, but don't be a jerk about it. All of the other opinions were very helpful, so I appreciate that...

why do your guest have to sit through this "slideshow".people do that on there wedding tape not during the reception so people are forced to watch.

iMovie for the Mac works very well, but the slideshow has really been over done in recent years. I've seen it done at a few weddings over the years and the first time it went over very well, but subsequent times people were less enthused with it. Personally, I would pass on it unless you were just going to display photos while people are dancing. That's actually fun because you can watch it at your leisure, but it doesn't take away from the party atmosphere.Best wishes!!!!!!!!!Edited to add: And I'm very sorry that you don't care for opinions regarding what you are going to do. It has to be expected when you ask questions here. Edited again: No worries! But the slideshow while dancing was pretty cool. They ran through it a few times and we kept cracking up over the naked baby pictures of the kids, not to mention the always rough junior high years. I swear none of us look good during those early teen years!

While movie maker is nice, Photostory is great! It is very user friendly and easy to add music too. You can put how fast you want everything and edit the music down to the second you want to. I used it to make a show for my grandma's 90th birthday in January and everyone loved it. If you have microsoft you can download it for free, just google Photostory 3. It also takes less space than movie maker. I know your slideshow will be great at your wedding!

I too am doing a slideshow at my wedding. Pictures of both of us growing up, our families & friends. I am planning on showing it right after dinner - before the desert. It shouldn't be too long cause you don't want to bore the guests. Addign the Music spices it up a bit tooGood luck!
