We are getting married outside of our country home. We are paying for everything, but ALL our family is coming from all over the United States. We are keeping everything simple and beautiful. Both his and my children are part of the wedding also. We are so excited and I want the words to be perfect. We both have been married before, but we know we are truely soulmates and the love we have ...everyone who knows us sees it. Its wonderful. Ok.. so if anyone has suggestions on simple, but beautiful , loving etc ... you get my idea.... For the wedding invitations ... please give me some ideas. Thanks...Happy Bride to BE !!!

Here are a few ideas that you could use. You could also just keep the invitation wording very simple, then have a love poem or quoted printed at the bottom or top of the invite. Please join us As we celebrate new beginnings, new dreams, and most importantly, new love at the marriage of Jonathan Alex Becker and Morton Peter Darby Sunday, April 4, 2008 5 o'clock in the afternoon Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Rose Garden Dinner and dancing to follow Or With joy in our hearts, we, Ramona Lee and Steven Ang Request the honor of your presence As we exchange marriage vows and celebrate our new life together Thursday, September 4, 2005 Etc. Sample wedding invitation that includes children:While not necessary, you may want to include your children particularly if you will have a part of the ceremony devoted to them. Please join Janet Ana Pamilla and Matthew Aiden Day as they exchange marriage vows and together with their son, Quinn, celebrate their family etc. or Please join us At a celebration Of the marriage of Linda Rodriguez Winters and Gunther Ryder Marquez And The family of Linda, Gunther, Jacob and Elise Saturday, June 14, 2008 Etc. Or your children could be the ones to host: Mr. Jacob Rodriguez Requests the honor of your presence At the marriage of his mother Linda Rodriguez Winters To Gunther Ryder Marquez Sunday, January 1, 2009 Etc. Or Mrs. Alicia Wang Arnold and her son, Jack Arnold and Mr. Thomas Gordon Roth and his son, Thomas Roth, Jr. invite you to join them for the uniting of these two families Saturday, May 5, 2008 Etc. I hope that this helps! Good luck! ♥

Here's what I used on my wedding invitation for the wedding that we paid for ourselves. I would include something like "together with their children" somewhere appropriate. This day I will marry my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, love(Full Groom's Name)and(Full Bride's Name)have decided that forever and ever beginsOn Saturday, the nineteenth of Julytwo thousand and eightPlease join us in celebrating our marriageat six o'clock in the eveningStreet Address (his parent's house)City, State (no zip, who needs that?)Reception to immediately follow

You squelch any impulse to be "original" and go with a traditional, formal wording. When I get those "creatively worded" invitations, somtimes I'm not sure whether I'm being invited to a housewarming, an orgy, or what.Who pays for what is irrelevant, so far as invitations go. Who pays for what is a private matter, not something to announce. My preferred format isThe pleasure of your company is requestedto celebrate the marriage ofPebbles Flinstone, daughter ofFred and Wilma Flintstone, to Bam-Bam Rubble, son of Barney Rubble andBetty Rubble Graniteon Saturday the First of Aprilat .... and so on.You notice that Betty and Barney have divorced and Betty has remarried a Mr Granite. When the last names are different, people get their own line, whether they are married or not.Unless a step parent has actually raised the child, that step parent is not usually named in the invitation. The idea of including the parents' names isn't to gratify their vanity but to clue people in to who is getting married, as in "Who the heck is Bam-Bam?""Oh yeah, Barney's son from his first marriage!"Congrats and best wishes.
