| Italians from Australia would be farmilar with our custom to engagement parties. The couple have decided to get engaged and hold a party for close friends and family, people mainy find out when they recieve the invite, and at the party rings are exchanged before the guests. I know it sounds weird but thats how everyone does it around here. Anyway i'm making my own invitations but im stuck for wording, i dont want them to look like wedding invitations, is there any way i can word them without putting the hosts (parents) names, can i just write "the engagement of my name then his". Also do i have to make rsvp cards? id rather people just call since they are all close family anyway? Any wording suggestions, heres what i have so far but im not sure...mr and mrs blah blahYou are cordially invited to celebrate The engagement ofBride to be&Groom to beTo Be held at venueVenue addressOn Saturday May 24th 2008At 6.30pmRSVP: June 1st 2008Phone numbers |

| In this case the hosts are you and your fiance, so you only need to put your names on the invitation. I would keep it simple! I think you have the right idea. |
