I was wondering if anyone has had thier wedding reception at LaSure's Banquet Hall in Oshkosh, WI. I would like to know if you were pleased with thier services and if you had any difficulties I need to watch out for. I am also really stuck getting a photographer and was wondering if anyone near would be able to recommend one to me. We do not have the biggest budget in the world but my pictures need to be good because I am a picky person when it comes to this. I am really having a hard time finding one that I can afford. Any suggestions? All answers will be helpful! Thanks in advance!Thats the thing....all these websites have the bigger areas around me but nothing that is really near me.

Ask the venue or vendor for references or testimonials. If they are reputable and above board they will give you those. If they are hesitant or refuse to then you know to stay away from them. Also check out local/regional wedding websites for things like lists of photographers. Quality photographers for instance, will have testimonials on their website (like if you go to a web/graphic designer's website and they list their clients. You can then check them out. If they are hiding something, they don't like putting these things on display/advertising them. (or if they have none in the first place because they're new). Good luck!

Check out the local boards at http://talk.theknot.com to talk to real women in your area. Or http://www.weddingwire.com and plug in your city or zip code and see what they say.
