I'm get married in August and my fiance and I have two children. Our son who will be 4 at the time of our wedding is going to be a ring bearer and he is so excited about it. We also want our daughter and our best friend's daughter (who will both be 7 months) involved in the wedding. We're not quite sure how to though. Maybe pushed down the aisle in a stroller that is nicely decorated or somethiing. It is important to us for them to be involved but we are not sure how. Any ideas? Our best friends are maid of honour and best man so they will be in the wedding party too. Also, what sort of gifts should we give to them as a thank you? We want it to be extra special. We take our son for days out quite a bit and we buy the girls things quite often too but we need something to say thank you to them. Any ideas on any of the things?

Why not have them come up with you when your family 'gives you' away and have each set of parents give their blessing to you as well. After that let your your parents take them to their seat - they won't stay quiet, but if that's okay with you, then that's great.

You can have her be the "flower girl" pushed up on the stroller. As for gifts, you could get them toys. The Knot wedding shop has a selection of toys that are great- you can personalize them so they are also sentimental. you can engrave piggy banks, yo-yo's, personalize t-shirts, etc

Every wedding in my family that involves children my aunt always sugests...."why dont you have someone pull him down the isle in a little red wagon..oh we could decorate it so cute" So I haven't used it but i'm sure someone other than my aunt would like that idea. Good luck with the wedding.

My sister was married when her son was 4, but he has some severe neurological problems (he can walk, but he was a bit wobbly), they wanted him involved in the ceremony so he was escorted down the aisle in a wagon by a junior bridesmaid. The wagon had flowers decorating it and I thought it looked really cute. You could have both girls in a wagon together maybe? You can get really cute teddybears dressed up like either ring barers or flower girls and have the kids names embroidered on them. so cute, I am getting one for my flower girl.

Where and How to Start?
There’s so much to do, it can be mind-numbing. Don’t worry. I planned and held my first wedding in two months and my second wedding in three months. If you have the luxury of a year or more, feel lucky!
Wedding Invitation
Ideally, invitations should be mailed out 6-8 weeks before the big day to give guests time to make arrangements to attend and RSVP back to you.
Wedding Attire
Where I come from, buying a tuxedo is virtually unheard of. Renting is probably the way to go to realize the ultimate savings on the groom’s attire.
Wedding Flowers
Cheap doesn't mean that your wedding flowers can't be beautiful. All flowers are lovely no matter what they cost.
Wedding Ceremony Decoration
Most wedding ceremonies are short and sweet, so why spend a majority...
Wedding Music
Music for your wedding ceremony could consist of live or recorded performances.
Wedding Photography
Pictures are priceless, and you want to be sure you have plenty of good pictures of your special day.
Wedding Favors
Some brides don’t like the idea of giving gifts to her guests, but we think it’s a nice gesture as a thank you...
Wedding Food
Wedding food can take a huge chunk out of your wedding budget.
Wedding Cake
Your wedding cake is the centerpiece of the reception. It is a scrumptious dessert as well as part of a tradition
Wedding Party
The question of whether or not to serve alcohol at your wedding is one that can cause dissension in the ranks of family.
